The Braves faced of against the Six Nations Arrows this past Thursday night. It was an incredibly fast paced game but the Braves were unable to overcome a rough second period and fell by a score of 11-6.

The Elmira Sugar Kings snapped a 3 game losing streak with a heated 5-2 win over Brantford last Sunday. Tyler Mazzocato earned the win 20 saves while Ethan Skinner’s goal and 2 assists was enough to earn him mention as first star of the night.

The Kings were back on the ice this Sunday after having an unexpected night off on Friday due to weather. Goals by Ethan Skinner and Ethan Wiseman lifted the Sugar Kings over the Brampton Bombers by a score of 2-1. Tyler Mazzacato earned the win with 29 saves.

The Sugar Kings started off 2018 by delighting the home town crowd to 2 wins in as many nights on home ice. The wins, against Waterloo and Brantford, boosted them into 3rd place in the GOHL’s Midwestern Conference. Sunday’s win came in double OT with a goal by Zack Cameron, his fifth of the weekend.
